For the duration of this course, it will be extremely helpful for you to keep a journal. It doesn’t have to be anything fancy, but simply a way to check-in. It’s an important record so you can notice shifts and changes: activities or foods that spike pain, stressors or sleep quality. You can spend as long or as little as you like. The more inquisitive you are about the pain, the more you’ll begin to understand it. You can use the sheet attached, or write in your own journal or notebook. Consider these inquiries: Pain level when I woke up Pain level at the end of the day How did I sleep? What was the quality of my sleep? Did I dream? What activities did I do today? (Did any of them cause pain?) What did I eat today, yesterday, and the day before? Is my body hydrated? How do you know? What is my stress level? Are there any events, anniversaries, dates coming up? Any personal or societal news that has affected me? Are there exercises in today’s video that I want to revisit? Do I have questions? Overall, how do I feel? Please see the attachment below.
